@tapiau Never tried it – but I believe it does.
@bonapartist No – I hadn’t heard of meritline until you mentioned it. I get all my stuff from Ebay from HK retailers. They come and go and the prices constantly reduce – so I don’t mention the seller or price as it would be out of date by the time you saw the video.
@Unispoof Did it run out of memory or battery – I usually charge mine for 3 hours. The light doesn’t seem to reflect the charging on mine – it just stays on (I’ve left it 24 hrs to check).
@DumblyBrilliant I didn’t mention a price – because these things cost whatever you pay for them. I paid £9 for mine from HK but this particular retailer doesn’t sell this model any more. I’ve seen people trying to charge £70 for these so shop around. Do a search on Ebay.
@caissonated It might be that your camera is different to mine (there are countless variants available). Check Chucklohr’s 808 website for more info on setting the time on the various models.
@mattmollysdad They vary between £6-£70. Do a search on Ebay to find the best deal.
@ReaLMaNn1 You can find this info in the earlier comments – or check the end of the video or look at Chuck Lohr’s 808 website for more detailed info.
@Techmoan Well, with all due respect you could say the same thing about any products price. What you paid gives a ball park figure to aim for at least. If someone sees one of these going for £70 and buys it thinking that is the market price and then finds one on sale for £9 they are going to be pretty pissed off. Right? I would be. A price is always a good idea. I think.
This seller on ebay (linjiechong) sells them for £6.25, i got mine from (2009happyseller) and it took 6 days to arrive.
@caissonated Thanks for your reply. I have figured mine out. I simply named the file TAG only, ie with no .txt after the letters TAG. Other than that the rest is the same as your instructions. Thanks again M8.
Mine arrived yeterday, but was wondering when card if full how do you clear it ?
How do you clear the card when full on the key fob?
@timetochill666 Delete the files using your computer.
I can only imagine how much smaller and better quality spycams will be in another 10 years. Kinda scary if you think about it.
@timetochill666 Daaa? click clack with the mouse then delete, simple.
Do I have to keep updating the time and date every time that it changes?
Waiting mine to come from china. Till then im watching the videos
excellent review. Thanks! worth watching just for the instructions on how to operate it… by the way the girl in the fish n; chips joint is pretty cute…
on mine there is a thing that has the date how to i get rid of it other than cropping it?

I like to watch this just to listen to his voice.
Thank you very much for the info, i got mine in the mail today and this viddeo has helped me a great deal. Also a note , when i played back my videos on windows media player the video flashed like it was cutting off and on or something, i played it on another player and it worked fine.
Thanks again,Rob
Thumbs up if he sounds like James May
Great video and great camera i have one. Do you make many of these videos when your not narrating Wolace and Gromit
Techmoan……. do you know anything about the MISUMI SPY CAR Remote Control KeyChain Camera & Recorder Player DVR MP-110 ?? There is an unboxing video on youtube but I can’t find out how much it is or how to order it. It looks like you get a lot of accessories and the video looks just as good if not better than the DVK808. Let me know if you find out anything about it. By the way…I had to send the DVK808 back to the manufacturer as it would turn off automatically.
