I live in Phoenix and it is extremely hot. Occasionally when it is very hot my Viper alarm will not turn off. Is there something I can do to deactivate the alarm when this occurs? It will not disarm. It only happens in extreme heat, although it wouldn’t disarm this morning when it was 85 degrees.
My car has been off the road for quite some time. It runs great, but the battery died, i jumped started it, let it run about 10-15 minutes, the inspection is up so i cant run the car on the road, but i did drive it around my parking lot for a few minutes. I shut it off, i started it right back up, shut it off again, and then tried to restart it a second time, but it did not restart, so i have it running now, how long should i let it run to charge the battery fully. I am getting it inspected tomorrow, and i do not want to get stranded at VIP, because it wont start. Thanks!
The recent commercial by volkswagen where the asian people want to buy the car, but its already sold, and they dont know it, and the guy is standing on the balcony pressing the alarm button to freak them out? anyone know where to find it?
Another great night at the track. The Lethal Performance 2010 GT500 made its way deeper into the 9′s cracking off a 9.66@146.19mph. The weather was in the 60′s with a little bit of moisture in the air. Jeremy Martorella of UPR Products pulled the car up to the line for our first run of the evening. With the 2 step set at 2100 he made the launch. First gear looked awesome and so did the 1-2 shift.. However after the shift the car broke loose and started going sideways but Jeremy’s professional race experience got the car back in the groove and down the rest of the track shifting as fast as an automatic could. As he passes the traps the board lit up with a 9.66@146.19mph. The car ran 114.14mph through the 1/8th. This is still using a 4″ pulley on the 4.0L Whipple which produces 21.5psi. We were using C16 with no methanol and this is blower only. We’re going to continue working on the suspension and once it’s dialed in we’ll turn up the boost. Our goal is to make an 8 second pass with the 6 speed making it the first GT500 in the 8′s with a manual transmission. Big thanks to everyone involved. My rear windshield was broken last night but nothing was taken, so it seems it was done by somone in anger. I have already talked to the police obviously, but is there anything I can do to track down who may have done it? I am probably going to set up some servailence cameras on my property from now on (or some solution using a webcam and laptop), but I am still worried this will happen again.
What have you done when this happened to you? How can I avoid this? I don’t keep anything worth anything in my car, this was just a random act of vandalism. I don’t think I have angered anyone, and I am just not sure what to do right now. My garage has only 2 spots and my dad and mom park there. I dunno how to avoid something like this short of a car alarm, which may do nothing but wake me up when it happens.
