The special-edition vehicle boasts a melon green metallic paint job and will be built as a limited series, said the automaker. The Smart Fortwo Edition Limited Three will start at the US equivalent of 794 for the coupe model and 684 for the cabrio when it goes on sale in Europe. Standard features include micro hybrid drive and an automatic start-stop system. Control electronics shut down the 71-horsepower engine when the driver brakes and the vehicle’s speed falls below 5 miles per hour. The engine starts again when the driver releases the brake. The cabin gets fabric in melon green with brown accents. Power steering, heated seats, a lockable glove compartment and a sound system with five speakers and MP3 interface are optional.

My car is up for sale in hawaii. only 40,3xx miles as time of this posting. car has remote start & window. You’ll see the car turned off with the windows down. first double beep is the remote start. (car starts after 5 seconds) the first engine you hear is not the car. but the second one is. the one with the subaru growl. there is a pause between the beep and the accuall start, incase you want to shut it off before the car starts. This car is manual so this is a good feature to have. Next I turn off the car with the remote. third I hit another button and the remote rolls the windows up. Last singel beep you hear is the alarm being activated. I did this in the parking lot real fast so its not that great. but you get the idea. The remote also lets you leave the car running with out the key in the ignition. this is all off a 4 button remote. It was installed by Auto Audio by Ala Moana shopping center. Hompsan spots an awesome 2009 Maserati Grantursimo S Automatic. First the car is at rest, then it starts up and does a small rev and then the 8500 aud Maserati accelerates away. The owner bought it without even driving the S auto ! Usually when someone buys their car they take it for a 2-3 hour spin. I was really suprised by this!
Ford’s popular fuel-saving technology that automatically shuts off the engine when the vehicle comes to a stop — a feature found today on the Ford Fusion Hybrid and Ford Escape Hybrid and some Ford cars in Europe — will soon be added to conventional cars, crossovers and SUVs in North America. Ford’s patented new Auto Start-Stop system for gasoline engines will improve fuel economy for most drivers by at least 4 percent. The gain can be as high as 10 percent for some drivers, depending on vehicle size and usage. It can also reduce tailpipe emissions to zero while the vehicle is stationary or waiting at a stoplight. Ford has more than 244 patents for its Auto Start-Stop technology and will showcase the feature on a concept in January at the North American International Auto Show.
