I have a Scytek Galaxy 5000rs-2w series remote starter and security system. I have been using it for a couple of weeks and then all of a sudden, my remote doesnt work from 1/4 mile anymore (to unlock, lock, start the car, or anything). I have to point the remote right at the reciever on my window in order for it to unlock my car and recognize it. I was just wondering if this is a problem with my unit or did I hit some wrong buttons. Note: I was trying to enable the passive mode and that works now but the car alarm doesnt work from far away. I tried to reset it but I couldnt figure out how to do it because the instructions dont make to much sense. If anyone could help me, that would be greatly appreciated.
I switched batteries and thats not it.
Plus it shows the battery life on my unit
Oh and I have two different remotes and the same thing happens on both. I was working half and hour ago and then i messed it up by pressing some buttons and it doesnt even go 2 feet.
Sometimes, the car doesnt even unlock like right now. I need to use my car for tomorrow so can someone please help me?
I dont know what it was, but I got the alarm to reset to factory settings and everything works perfect. Good alarm but i shouldnt be screwing with it. Thanks for the help

Does anyone know the name of this bird(it isn’t a mocking bird)? I believe it was black but I’m not sure. I’ve listened to a ton of bird songs online to try and figure it out, to no avail. Again, it sounds like a combination of a whistle and a car alarm. It was so cool that I taped a few minutes of them in a parking lot with my digital camera!

My Jeep has been broken into 4 freaking times this year! I was wondering if anyone makes a car alarm with a motion activated camera or maybe evan a DVR that will take pictures or video of the thief?
It is a Jeep Cherokee. This time they busted out all my windows out of frustration I think. Everything valuable in it is bolted down.
